The Expo Approacheth
It’s one week until the UK Games Expo. Our biggest convention of the year.
I had originally pulled out all the stops and applied for a big premium space stall with the intention of going all out on our table decor. But it turns out they actually didn’t have any premium stalls left so we’ve got our usual sized stall.
I did get a proper banner printed this year though! And I’ve picked up wire boxes to help get everything on the table which is important because we’ve now got 23 games and expansions in print. That’s almost as many as some shops!
This year we’ve got a few new expansions that I’m really excited to show you.
Apothecaria: Dragon’s Lair
So hot off the presses, it’s currently cooling in our living room. This Apothecaria expansion tasks you with getting to the bottom of a case of identity fraud. See, someone tried to kidnap all of the great dragon’s babies but messed up the spell causing them to be scattered across the known world. Unfortunately that person looked exactly like you and the Great Dragon is furious.
Avoid an angry dragon, explore all new Locales, cure new Ailments, get a miniature volcano for your garden, rescue baby dragons, and solve the crime of the century!
For Small Creatures Such As We: Guide To Fauna
A decade ago the Galactic Council discovered a planet teeming with diverse wildlife. Now they have made the awful discovery that the planet is doomed by its own moon’s decaying orbit. Work with the Darwin researchers to study the animals of the galaxy and to find suitable new homes for these alien animals or earn your fortune as a poacher, run your own private zoo, or just use the expansion to flesh out your other research with new Expeditions.
Comes with a whole new map and 3 new Planets to explore!
For Small Creatures Such As We: Love & Lust
So many games focus on how aliens might kill each other but this expansion asks how they might love instead. Romance your crewmates and learn what they think of this human thing called love. Become a parent or just a babysitter as you deal with new child events. Earn your living running cruises or become a performer and explore a whole new galactic map trying to catch your big break.
For Small Creatures Such As We: War!
Peace is a fragile thing and despite the best efforts of the sentients in the Galactic Council, war has broken out. Make no mistakes, this isn’t a clear cut rebellion vs empire situation, both sides have valid points. Both sides want a better future. You can get involved in new military missions with a deeper combat system for more detailed battles or you can try to stay out of it and watch the war unfold naturally. See how war changes the galaxy and you.
